A market that waits with you

Name your price.
Let merchants come to you.

Mercatus is a Chrome extension and a web shop for people who already know the product they want. You set the budget, the deadline, and who you will buy from. Merchants compete inside their own stock and margin. You choose an offer. Nothing is charged until a real checkout exists.

How a wait works

  1. 1

    Bring the product

The extension reads the product page you are already on. On the web, you can type the cart yourself. Mercatus keeps the exact name, variant, and quantity.

  2. 2

    Name the terms

Set the all-in budget, how long you can wait, who you will buy from, and the day it has to arrive. That ceiling is yours. Merchants do not get to raise it.

  3. 3

Back it with a test hold

Wait & save asks Visa’s sandbox for a temporary authorization at that amount. It proves the cart is real. It does not capture the card, and you can release the hold.

  4. 4

    Pick an offer

Merchants answer with a price inside their stock, margin, delivery, and incentive budget. You select one. Selection records your choice. It does not place an order.

For shoppers

  • See the product you are already looking at, then decide what you will pay.
  • Check live prices, or ask Find other sellers for other stores and cited listing prices.
  • Those other prices are advice. They do not change the budget or the Visa hold.
  • A product title is untrusted. Requests that are not a product search are refused before any model is called.

For merchants

  • Publish a campaign with inventory, a price floor, and an incentive budget.
  • New campaigns start paused. You preview, then activate.
  • Offers only go to carts that asked for them and still have an active hold.
  • The desk cannot invent a discount past the limits you set.

What this build does not do

The hold is a Visa Acceptance sandbox authorization, not a production charge. Selecting a merchant offer does not check out, capture funds, or move real money. Find other sellers shows listed prices that can omit tax and shipping. Confirm the variant on the store page before you buy.
